Select board receives donations and grants

In February and March, the Hopedale Select Board accepted or acknowledged the following donations, grants and appropriations:
• Donation to the Hopedale Fire Department in the amounts of $50 and $100 from Gladys M. Henderson for providing assistance to her family
• Donation to the Hopedale Fire Department in the amount of $20 from Sue and Chris Lynch in memory of Eleanor Tusia
• $50,000 grant received and earmarked for open space, to be used by the Conservation Commission on boundary work, cleanup, signage and trailing markings
• $2 million appropriation secured for a water supply and storage enhancement project, with the help of Rep. Jake Auchincloss
• Grant received, amount unknown, to help with costs associated with animal control regional effort
