The stars were shining brightly on the stage of Hopedale Jr-Sr High School last month.

The cast of Beauty and the Beast amazed audiences by showing them the remarkable talent that is here in the little town of Hopedale. 

The show was led by several seniors: Sam Madigan (Belle), Tom Mcsweeney (Beast) and Cam Whiting (Gaston).  

In a surprising turn, this show marked the return to the stage of Maddie Hodgton as Mrs Potts after a four-year hiatus. Senior Ahaan Singh also ventured from backstage to center stage, taking on the role of Maurice. Emily Stewart (Babette), Clara Colligan (Claudette) and Taylor Jerrett (Madame De La Grande Bouche) were also featured.

Although the show was anchored by the talent of the senior class, it also gave us a glimpse of great things to come from our underclassmen. Devon Thomson(freshman) and Dylan Whiting (sophomore) were wildly entertaining as Lumiere and Cogsworth and freshman Turo Rigdon dazzled with his rendition of the Disney classic “Gaston.”  

The cast was led by Chris Chatham, Lindsay Mayotte and Matt Gagnon. This trio of dedicated teachers worked tirelessly over the past four months to bring out the best in our kids.  

The stage crew, led by seniors Brent Zhang, Nicholas Romano, Luke Tahmoush, Ryan Hayes, Brendan Kracinovich and Vinny Kaushik created an impressive backdrop of the Beast’s castle.
